About me

Hi again! I am David Cruz Fuentes, a Product Designer from Girona, in Catalunya (Spain). You may have heard about the city as one of the scenarios of the famous series "Game of Thrones".

Nowadays, I am based in sunny Barcelona.

I did my degree in graphic design, but when I finished university and after gaining some experience in the field, I felt something was missing in my career, so I did a bootcamp on UX, UI, and basic code knowledge. This made me realize that helping users by improving their experience and interaction with products and services was my passion.

Using my prior graphic design experience, I can easily adapt to any situation, expand my knowledge, prioritise, and think outside the box. In the Product Design field, I can better show my empathy for society members by identifying and addressing their needs more creatively.

I am responsible for the end-to-end process from research and ideation to prototyping and handover to the development team and maintaining the design system. I work closely with project managers, marketers, and engineers to gather valuable insights and translate them into user-centric solutions that are captivating and practical.

I was responsible for the final stages and launch of the ”Products - Savings” section of the Imaginbank app, specifically prototyping and leading the handover to the development team.

Lead designer for the French travel agency Misterfly in Barcelona. I was responsible for the design process and the quality of the visuals that were used in all brand communication both internally and externally (internationally).

I worked briefly on Editorial and Art direction for the cooking books collection of the Spanish chef Ferran Adrià.

I worked on Editorial, Photography and Art direction for different projects from different clients.
